Manufacturers recommend storing statin tablets in a tightly closed, light-resistant container in a dry place at room temperature between 20-25ºC.1–5
According to the National Council on Patient Information and Education, heat and moisture from the shower, sink, and bath can decrease potency and cause premature expiration.6
