Take your carvedilol at the same time every day, always with food. Take carvedilol exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Swallow the pills whole with plenty of water. Do not chew or crush your pills.
There are two forms of carvedilol – the immediate-release tablets and the extended-release capsules. The immediate-release tablet is usually taken twice a day, every 12 hours. Your doctor may suggest that you take your pills with breakfast and with dinner. Making a routine will help you take your medicine on time every day.
The extended-release capsule is usually taken once a day. The effects should last 24 hours. Your doctor may suggest that you make a routine to take your medicine with breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Talk with your doctor about what might work best for you.
The same time every day, that’s the way!
