Yes, there are foods you should avoid while taking spironolactone. Spironolactone may make the level of potassium in your blood go up. Eating too many foods that are high in potassium could cause a dangerous level of potassium in your blood.
This includes avoiding salt substitutes like Morton Salt Substitute because they use potassium instead of sodium.
